#12 – Fire Hands

9th March 2019 – I had a great sleep last night – possibly due to the 4 drops of oil that I’m up to now. I think I’ve worked out that the brownies are what’s making me feel high because I woke up completely fine today! I worked quite a bit from home and broke it up with a trip to the Portsea market which was lovely. It was a beautiful day to get outside, enjoy the sunshine and the view of the bay. I found a fruit called Kiwiberries which lists anti cancer activity as one of the potential health benefits. So I got a punnet of them and started eating them straight away!!

I still have REALLY hot palms of my hands which have now been nicknamed Fire Hands and make me feel like I have a super power 🔥 This has come in handy as a nose warmer since it’s always cold! My hot hands have stuck around since round 2 of chemo which was over a month ago. They are constantly hot which makes things difficult during chemo and the few days where I can’t touch anything cold (because it would cause numbness in my fingers). I’ve also noticed my hands are a little bit shaky now and my throat has been sore on and off all day. When I mentioned it to my oncologist she said that’s pretty normal unfortunately.

11th March 2019 – Today was a lovely day! My good friend Emma came down from Canberra to visit so we caught up with our friend Jaz and spent the day in the Yarra Valley. We went to all the places I love! The chocolaterie, the dairy and then a delicious lunch at Meletos. It was so beautiful up there and was the perfect day to wear some of my new purchases from my shopping spree yesterday! I can definitely call it a spree because my arm was sore today from carrying so many bags!! I had a drop of oil when we got home in the afternoon and soon after I felt high… I’m really confused why it made me feel high as I haven’t felt like that after 1 drop for a couple of weeks. Maybe I didn’t drink enough water? I walked to the studio for a Yin & Reiki session and we started with child’s pose. As soon as I closed my eyes, my head started spinning but luckily after about 10mins I felt back to normal and maybe even fell asleep for a few minutes 😴
